1319nm, 10µJ pulsed diode pumped solid state (DPSS) laser system including diode driver with 10%, 5%, 3%, or 1% power stability. This system provides an extremely low cost of ownership for any budget conscious organization. This system is compact, easy to operate, low cost, and has a long life expectancy providing an efficient and cost effective, precision laser system. Safety features include a key switch, remote interlock, ON/OFF switch, and beam on delay.

This laser is the inexpensive alternative for communications, illumination, and other scientific or engineering research.

The laser is supplied with a high impact, military specification rated, transport and storage case for complete protection. The case is waterproof, impact resistant, pad-lockable, stackable and meets airline carry-on regulations. The case features the Powerclaw® latching system and a soft-grip foldable handle.

This laser system is semi-custom and built on order. The completed system generally ships in 3-4 weeks.

Caution

The serial number of the laser head and the driver must match. The performance of the laser is maximized by individually tuning the laser head and power supply/driver as a functional unit. Mixed connections will damage the laser head. Never disconnect the control cable while the laser is operating. Keep the laser system stored in a cool, dry place. Provide unobstructed space around the DPSS/Diode driver and laser head to promote proper cooling of the systems.

Diode lasers and diode laser pumps are extremely sensitive to static discharges. A barely detectable static shock can pass in excess of 10,000 volts across the laser diode junction permanently damaging the laser diode. Wear grounded wrist straps or use other grounding methods when handling the laser system.

Warning

Laser systems pose an eye hazard. Proper safety eye wear is a must. Do not intentionally look directly into the laser beam or at a specular reflection, regardless of its power. Terminate the beam at the end of its useful path. Locate the beam path at a point other than eye level when standing or when sitting at a desk. Orient the laser so that the beam is not directed toward entry doors or aisles. Minimize specular reflections. Securely mount the laser system on a stable platform to maintain the beam in a fixed position during operation and limit beam traverse during adjustments. Confine primary beams and dangerous reflections to the optical table. Clearly identify beam paths and ensure that they do not cross populated areas or traffic paths. Consult with your staff laser safety officer for recommendations and operations specific to your location.

The laser system operates on mains power up to 240VAC. Do not open the driver case or laser head as a shock hazard may be present. There are no end-user serviceable components inside the laser system.
